Internationally, Liverpool has won six European Cup (the most of any English team in history) three UEFA Cups, four UEFA Super Cups and one FIFA Club World Cup.
Playing at the same ground since their foundation in 1892, Anfield was host to one of the footballing giants of the 1970s and 80's, managed by an unbroken chain of managers of the dynastic “boot-room” - Bill Shankly, Bob Paisley, Joe Fagan, and Kenny Dalglish, who won 11 league titles and four European Cups between them. Two more European Cups followed during the 21st century, the first in 2005, still known to this day as one of the greatest European Cup finals in history, where Liverpool defeated a legendary AC Milan side on penalties after going three goals down during the first half, and the second under manager Jurgen Klopp in 2019, who also led Liverpool to their 19th league title and first of the Premier League era.
