They followed this success a year later by winning four trophies, becoming the only team to win the domestic treble. Manchester City remains underperforming in Europe however, their best result in the UEFA Champions League, being a semi-final in the 2015/16 season, but even European success must surely be inevitable for the deep-pocketed Citizens...
